Overall Thoughts – This was Dragon Gate USA’s first official Show that took place in 2011 and I got to say it was pretty good. Go Fight Live had a ton of issues through the night which really was annoying. This was the first show of the United Tour and took place in NYC but the crowd seemed dead most of the night. The show kicked off with Tozawa/Callihan which was pretty disappointing and shouldn’t of opened the show. I wasn’t really impressed with Callihan but Tozawa worked well as usual. Pretty good spots in the match but again the crowd made it feel like a Golf Tournament. Next up was what I think should of opened Moxley/Jigsaw. For the length of this match it was really good and had some awesome spots. Next match should have happened in the main event solely for the Title Change YAMATO/Hulk. This was a really good match and both men worked really well. YAMATO won the Open the Freedom Gate Title which was really cool they had a Title Change. Next was Lee/Jacobs which was probably the weakest match of the night. I wasn’t very impressed with Brodie Lee but Jimmy Jacobs tried to make the match as good as possible. Next was Ronin/Blood Warriors which was probably runner up for match of the night. Ricochet is just amazing in the ring and had awesome spots. All men worked well with each other and put on a border line great match. Next was Aries/Swann which was pretty disappointing. Austin Aries looked to have hurt his arm during the match. The Main Event was World 1/Blood Warriors which was Match of the Night. Awesome work in this match and it really delivered. Overall it was a pretty good way to start the Tour put I feel it will be the weakest show of the Trio. Hopefully GFL fixes the issues it had tonight for tomorrows show and I know Philly will be a hot crowd unlike tonights.
