Overall Thoughts – This was very bad show and very boring. The year 2004 had its ups and downs and this was certainly a down. The split brand PPVs in 2004 weren’t that great especially on the SmackDown side. The night kicked off with the Tag Team Championship match which was good for the most part but dragged on way to long. I loved the idea of having RVD & Mysterio as a team; they pulled out some innovative moves in this match. Suzuki/René did well but I didn’t like the idea of having them as a team. Angle/Santa was one of the few pointless segments on this card, terrible. Same goes for Puder/Mizanin, this could have definitely been done on TV but for some reason they gave these two PPV exposure. The Tag Match was just thrown on the card, which Michael Cole said with no build but it was a pretty decent match. Cena/Jesús was very fun and I loved the storyline to it, Jesús barley got any offence in but the Street Fight stipulation made it worth it. Marie/Jackie was another thing that should have happened on TV and another pointless match. The handicap match was pretty bad, nothing special. The Cruiserweight Title match was very disappointing but better than most stuff on the card. The Main Event was very good; I love how they were building the match as if JBL was definitely losing the belt. The match turned out really good all four men looked like they would win the title at one point. Overall the show was just a throwaway PPV, not worth checking out.
