Overall Thoughts – This was the first ever brand split PPV event and it turned out to be great. I think SmackDown was better than Raw in 2003 and they really could stand alone for their own PPV. The Night kicked off with a bang with the finals of the United States Championship tournament, which was MOTN Guerrero and Benoit always had great chemistry and here was no different. This was a fantastic bout throughout but I think the ending hurt it with Rhino interfering, but still great a match. Gunn/Noble had a horrible storyline behind it but the match turned out pretty decent. Noble and Gunn were both extremely underrated workers and had a good match for the time it got. The Bar Room Brawl was very fun and unique, which was good for SD in 2003. The Tag Title Match was great; this is a dream match with one of the best Tag Teams of the 21st century taking on one of the best Tag Teams in WCW history. I’m so glad WWE made this match happen and it turned out to be fantastic, this match had it all. Sable/Stephanie was actually better than some Diva’s matches but nothing special; the storyline behind it was good though. Taker/Cena was another dream match that took place and surprisingly, it hasn’t happened again yet. This turned out good but I think it could have been much better, good match. McMahon/Gowen was surprisingly decent as well, another match that had good buildup too it and they had good storytelling in this match, the match really surprised me. The Main Event was very entertaining and borderline great, all 3 men had you thinking they were going to win and all had good chemistry. Definitely check this PPV; it’s easy to sit through and very enjoyable.
