Overall Thoughts – The show kicked off with The Embassy taking on Homicide & Jay Lethal which turned out to be a good, solid match. Everybody got a piece of the action and the crowd was really hot. Homicide and Rhino really weren’t spectacular in this match but nonetheless it was a good opener. Benjamin/Bennett was decent; these guys really didn’t have any chemistry and it just didn’t deliver which most people expected. Mike Bennett has still yet to impress me and here was no different. The 3 Way Elimination Tag was very good; nonstop action throughout with a lot awesome spots. It should have gone on longer but it was still really good. It looks like The Young Bucks will continue to be in ROH and as heels since they refused to shake Future Shock’s hands. Generico/Jacobs was really going well until Kevin Steen showed up just like the last iPPV. This whole segment was gold, but Steen should have definitely come out after the match was over. As for the match, it really had some good stuff in it and I would definitely be interested in seeing a rematch. Haas/Elgin was pretty good; Haas and Elgin both performed very well and had a good match. Good wrestling and spots from both guys but the finish came out of nowhere. Eddie/Roddy was spectacular; this is probably my personal favorite match from these two. Both men had a fantastic showing and the falls were perfect. It was definitely lengthy as expected but it didn’t hurt the match at all. This is one of the best matches of the year; great match. Ladder War III was MOTN; complete carnage throughout the whole match including two of the best Table spots I have ever seen. The storytelling in this match was also great, amazing match. I would say this is the 2nd best Ladder War but to no shame. A great rivalry topped off with this is a perfect way to end the feud. The hype definitely delivered and another awesome iPPV from ROH.
